Fukuoka City is located in the heart of East Asia, and Fukuoka Airport, one of the busiest airports in Japan with more than 21 million passengers per year,is connected by direct flights to 20 major cities in the Asia–Pacific region as well as Helsinki.

International travelers from outside Asia can easily transfer at Tokyo or at major Asian hub airports such as Seoul, Shanghai, Beijing,
Hong Kong, and Taipei.
